The Smartphone Bicycle + Interesting Engineering

The Smartphone Bicycle - Safety protocols say to keep both hands on the handlebars but they also say use hand gestures to signal turn intention. Contradiction! The Ecodrive has integrated lights and turn signals controlled via the handlebars. And no concept is complete without some form of smartphone integration so this little guy has a nice cubby hole for the iPhone. Keeps it charged and in return, the iPhone gives you access to its magical GPS and navigation abilities. It’s animal symbiosis people.Designer: Juil Kim

SCIENTISTS Have Built The Smallest Petrol Engine

SCIENTISTS have built the smallest petrol engine - tiny enough to power a WATCH.

The mini-motor, which runs for two years on a single squirt of lighter fuel, is set to revolutionise world technology.
It produces 700 times more energy than a conventional battery despite being less than a centimetre long - not even half an inch. It could be used to operate laptops and mobile phones for months on end - doing away with the need for recharging.
Experts believe it could be phasing out batteries in such items within just six years.

The engine, minute enough to be balanced on a fingertip, has been produced by engineers at the University of Birmingham . Dr Kyle Jiang, lead investigator from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, said: "We are looking at an industrial revolution happening in peoples' pockets.

"The breakthrough is an enormous step forward. Devices which need re- charging or new batteries are a problem but in six years will be a thing of the past."

Other applications for the engine could include medical and military uses, such as running heart pacemakers or mini reconnaissance robots. At present, charging an ordinary battery to deliver one unit of energy involves putting 2,000 units into it.

The little engine, because energy is produced locally, is far more effective.
One of the main problems faced by engineers who have tried to produce micro motors in the past has been the levels of heat produced.
The engines got so hot they burned themselves out and could not be re-used. The Birmingham team overcame this by using heat-resistant materials such as ceramic and silicon carbide.

Professor Graham Davies, head of the university's engineering school, said: "We've brought together all the engineering disciplines, both materials, chemical engineering, civil engineering, and mechanical engineering.

"What better place to have the second industrial revolution - in nano-technology - than where the first took place, in the heart of the West Midlands."

Kaun Banega Crorepati Game With Shahrukh Khan Full Game

Kaun Banega Crorepati (Hindi: कौन बनेगा करोड़पति Kaun Banegā Karoṛpati; popularly known as KBC) is a television game show in India. It is based on the UK game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. KBC first aired in 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, his first appearance Indian television. KBC initially offered contestants the chance to win up to one crore Rupees, but doubled this in 2001 to two crore Rupees, further adjusted from the fourth season to include a jackpot of 5 crore rupees. The show was well received from the very first season.
On 5 August 2005, the show was restarted after a four-year hiatus, and renamed Kaun Banega Crorepati Dwitiya (Kaun Banega Crorepati the Second, or KBC2) in which the final prize amount was doubled to 2 crore rupees. It was abruptly ended by STAR Plus after the host Amitabh Bachchan fell ill in 2006. Mr Bachchan had shot 61 of the 85 episodes when he fell ill. He announced he would return after he recovered, but when his health prevented him filming the remaining 24 episodes, Star TV took the decision to axe it.
Star Television recruited Shahrukh Khan to host the third season of the show. Khan was at peak of his career and was considered an ideal replacement for Amitabh Bachchan. The grand prize remained 2 crore Rupees (approx. $430,000 USD). The third season of the show began airing on 22 January 2007. The show ended on 19 April 2007 with a special finale. The key sponsors of the third season were AirTel, Unit Trust of India (UTI Mutual Funds) and ITC Limited.
The fourth season (called KBC4) was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan and started on 11 October 2010, on Bachchan's 68th birthday. According to online news sources, over five million (50 Lakh) people participated inKBC 4 auditions. The prize money was decreased to INR 1 crore, however a jackpot question for INR 5 crore (approx. USD 1 million) was added. The fourth season of the show was highly successful due to the return of former host Amitabh Bachhan. The season ended on 9 December 2010. The fifth season started on 15 August 2011 on the Independence Day of India with the same format and ended on 17 November 2011. The show became a massive hit with audiences and broke many TRP Records. CNN IBN awarded Indian Of The Year- Entertainment to Team KBC and Amitabh Bachan.

SUBAH HONE NA DE

Subah Hone Na De, opens with a fun opening verse and then launches into club mode with an electronic sound. Yet the song is not completely into the Euro-techno pop sound and has a distinctly Indian vibe to it, especially with Mika leading the way here. Mika sounds awesome on this track, as he adds that Punjabi swagger he brings to all his songs. Shefali Alvares also sounds lovely on the track and makes the song less clubby and dreamier, which definitely helps elevate that song to another level.
