Facebook ‘likes’ Mark Zuckerberg’s wedding.
SOCIAL NETWORK Facebook might be watching the value of its shares fall, but it is also celebrating a wedding that is proving quite popular among its users.
The wedding of course was between Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan. We hear it was a modest affair, and it certainly was not streamed on Facebook.
However, it has been a hit with the network's almost one billion users and over one million of them have clicked the 'Like' button that sits next to the web site founder's updated status that now lists him as married.
We cannot help but wonder how many people would have 'Liked' the founder's status had he changed it to something like "super rich" following his firm's IPO, but he didn't so we will never know. Either way, he should be a very happy in addition to very wealthy young man right now.
When we last looked the Married update had 1.23 million likes, and some comments that varied from the congratulatory to the critical.
For example, one poster took time out to correct Zuckerberg's uploading etiquette. "Congrats Mark but next time you upload a photo you didn't take you should really let everyone know who took it!," they wrote.
Still, that probably will not bother the young social networking pioneer who today must be feeling very married and very rich indeed.
